(Des)fragmentação

YILPORT Leixões was designed by the architect Luís Pedro Silva, being the largest port infrastructure in the North of Portugal and one of the most important in the country.
My aim was not to make the building known, nor to represent it. What interested me were its textures and the way light interacts with its organic forms, creating graphic and abstract images.
I tried to make a fragmentation of space, isolating details that taken from their context become forms without history, making the combination of more open planes that allow us to understand the context in which the forms are inserted, with more closed details.
Then, through the inverse process, the observer has the possibility of defragmenting these pieces, and giving a new condition to this location.
In this way and through these fragments, each one has space to imagine their own building.
